Cazoo prize draw terms and conditions

1.         The promoter and the partner

The promoters are:

 

  1. English Football League (“EFL”) of EFL House, 10-12 West Cliff, Preston, PR1 8HU; and
  2. Cazoo Limited (“Cazoo”) of 41 Chalton Street, London, NW1 1JD.

2.         The prize draw

2.1       The title of the Prize Draw is ‘Sky Bet Championship Play Off Final tickets competition with Cazoo’ (the “Prize Draw”).

 

2.2       The Prize Draw is free to enter and winners are selected at random by Cazoo from valid entries received by EFL in accordance with these terms and conditions.

3.         How to enter

3.1       The Prize Draw will run from Wednesday 18th May at 10.00 am (the “Opening Time”) to Sunday 22ndMay at 11.59 pm (“Closing Time”) inclusive.

 

3.2       All entries must be received by EFL by no later than the Closing Time. All entries received after the Closing Time are invalid.

 

3.3       To enter the Prize Draw, you must complete the competition registration form and submit your contact details.

 

3.4       No purchase is necessary.

 

3.5       EFL and Cazoo do not accept responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed, regardless of cause, including (for example) as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

 

3.6       By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4.         Eligibility

4.1       The Prize Draw is only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, except for:

 

(a)        employees, contractors and workers of Cazoo or its group companies;

 

(b)        employees of EFL;

 

(c)        employees of any affiliates, subsidiaries, commercial partners, advertising or promotion agencies of Cazoo;

(d)        anybody who is professionally connected with the Prize Draw or its administration; or

 

(e)        members of the immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouses, and life partners) or households of anyone in 4.1(a), (b) and (c) above,

 

who may not enter the Prize Draw.

 

4.2       By entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and to claim any prize that you win. EFL may require you to prove that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw, for example by providing ID.

 

4.3       EFL will not accept entries that are:

 

(a)        automatically generated by computer;

 

(b)        completed by third parties or in bulk

 

(c)        illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or

 

(d)        incomplete.

 

4.4       There is a limit of one entry to the Prize Draw per person. Entries on behalf of another person and joint entries are not allowed.

 

4.5       EFL or Cazoo may disqualify you if it reasonably believes that your conduct is in breach of these terms and conditions, fraudulent or otherwise contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw.

5.         The prizes

5.1       The prizes are:

 

  1. Three individuals will each win a pair of Ultimate Wembley Final Experience tickets to the 2021/2022 Sky Bet Championship Play Off Final which includes:
    1. one VIP hospitality table between the six attendees;
    2. the right to occupy a VIP centre stand seat in the venue bowl; and
    3. a tour of the venue subject to the venue’s availability on the day and any Covid restrictions in place at the time of the 2021/2022 SkyBet Championship Play Off Final for each of the six attendees, at a time to be determined by EFL.

 

(each, a “Prize”).

 

5.2       Prize winners and their guests attending a venue to enjoy their Prize must also comply with all policies, rules and reasonable instructions provided by EFL, venue operators and/or any authority at the venue. EFL, the relevant venue operators and authorities reserve the right to remove any Prize winner (and/or their permitted guests) for failing to comply with those policies, rules or instructions or otherwise behaving in an inappropriate manner.

 

5.3       EFL will be provided with information (including name and address) of the Prize winners and their guests for prize administration and databases will be checked against any club banning orders as well as the National Police database for those who may be subject to a court banning order. EFL will not otherwise use Prize winners or their guests’ personal details for reasons other than the above, unless lawfully permitted to do so.

 

5.4       Entrance to this Prize Draw constitutes full acceptance of these terms and conditions and all terms and conditions of the Football League Limited Conditions of Issue as well as the Wembley National Stadium Ground Regulations. Both documents can be found at www.efl.com/ticketconditions. Prize winners must abide by those terms at all times. Cazoo and EFL accept no responsibility if the Prize winner and/or the Prize winner's guest are denied entry or asked to leave the match for failure to abide by such terms, any applicable law or regulation or because of their inappropriate behaviour.

 

5.5       The following details are required from each Prize winner and their guest: name, date of birth, email address, home address including postcode & supporting team.

 

5.6     EFL and Cazoo reserve the right to replace all or part of any Prize with an alternative if the original is not available.

 

5.7       The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable. There is no cash alternative to any Prize.

 

5.8       To claim the Prize, the winner must respond to Cazoo’s email and provide all requested information within 24 hours after the message is sent.

6.         Winners

6.1       Cazoo’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

 

6.2       Cazoo will contact the winner as soon as reasonably practicable after the Closing Time by email.

 

6.3       Cazoo must make available information that indicates that a valid Prize award took place. To comply with this obligation, Cazoo will send the surname and county of Prize winners (and copies of any winning entries, if applicable) to anyone who emails events@cazoo.co.uk within one month after the Closing Time. If you object to your surname, county or winning entry being made available, please contact Cazoo at events@cazoo.co.uk. If you do this, Cazoo must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

7.         Claiming the Prize

7.1       If you win a Prize, you will have 24 hours after Cazoo sends you an email to claim your Prize as described in paragraph 5.8 above. If you do not claim the Prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.

 

7.2       The Prize may not be claimed by someone else on your behalf.

 

7.3       Cazoo will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner by the email submitted with the competition registration form. If the winner has not responded and provided all of the requested information within 24 hours after Cazoo’s email is sent, Cazoo may offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the valid entries that were received before the Closing Time.

 

7.4       EFL or Cazoo do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize.

 

7.5       Winners may be asked to provide identification and proof of address proving their eligibility before they are entitled to receive any Prize. Winners may be required to participate in further publicity or advertising in connection with winning the Prize.

8.         Limitation of liability

As far as permitted by law, EFL or Cazoo, their agents and distributors are not in any circumstances liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up any Prize, except where this is caused by the negligence of EFL or Cazoo, its agents or distributors or that of its employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9.         Ownership of entries and intellectual property rights

9.1       EFL and Cazoo do not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.

 

9.2       You agree that EFL and Cazoo may, but are not required to, make your entry available on their websites and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the Prize Draw. You grant EFL and Cazoo a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in your entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-license the entry and any accompanying materials for those purposes. You also agree to waive all moral rights in and to your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled anywhere in the world.

10.       Data protection and publicity

10.1     EFL and Cazoo will only process your personal information as set out in their Privacy Policies(https://www.cazoo.co.uk/privacy-policy and https://www.efl.com/efl-privacy-notice) and to announce winners as described in paragraph 6.3 above.

 

10.2     You agree to participate in a reasonable amount of publicity on Cazoo’s behalf if asked to do so by Cazoo. This might include publishing your name and photograph in any media.

11.       General

11.1     If EFL or Cazoo believe that you have breached these terms and conditions, EFL or Cazoo may (at their discretion) exclude you from participating in the Prize Draw.

 

11.2     EFL or Cazoo may void, suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw if it becomes necessary to do so.

 

11.3     The Prize does not include any reimbursement of any travel, accommodation expenses or food and drink costs.

 

11.4     EFL and Cazoo cannot guarantee the performance of any third party, including the other, and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party.

 

11.5     These terms and conditions are governed by English law. All entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are resident in Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident in Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
