Terms & Conditions for the EFL / EA Sports Checkatrade Trophy Prize Draw 2018

  1. The promoter of the competition is the EFL, the brand name of The Football League Limited (Company Number: 80612) of EFL House, 10-12 West Cliff, Preston, Lancashire PR1 8HU.
  2. The promotion is a prize draw, with free entry route as set out below. No purchase necessary.
  3. The prize for each particular prize draw, together with the opening and closing dates will be clearly set out within the promotional material relating to the individual draw and is noted below.
  4. No cash alternative will be offered. The EFL reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of its choosing which has a value the same or greater than the original prize, in the event of circumstances outside its control making the prize unavailable. The prize may be subject to availability and change where expressly stated.
  5. Entries are limited to one entry per individual. Any entries that, in the view of the EFL have been made on a multiple basis by or for the same person, including via any sort of software or machine enabling multiple entries, will be disqualified. The EFL also reserves the right to discount multiple entries from the same or similar email addresses or the same IP Address or any entries found not to comply with these terms and conditions.
  6. The prize draw is only open to people aged 18 or over, who are resident in the United Kingdom and who are fans of Lincoln City FC or Shrewsbury Town FC. Winners may be required to provide reasonable evidence of eligibility.
  7. The draw is not open to employees of the EFL, their subsidiaries, families, agents, or their affiliates.
  8. The draw is not open to employees of the EA, their subsidiaries, families, agents, or their affiliates.
  9. To enter the prize draw you should complete the online form accessible from the email or to which these terms and conditions relate.
  10. The prize draw opened Tuesday 27th March 2018 and the closing date for entries is 18:00 (UK time) on Monday 2nd April 2018. The winners will be drawn at random on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 selected from all those who have completed the survey and entered the Prize Draw. The Prize Draw will be supervised by an independent person. The winners will be contacted by email and they will have 24 hours to respond to their email notification and claim their prize. Where a winning entrant has provided a contact telephone number the EFL will make up to two attempts to contact the winner using that number during the 24 hour period. In the event no response is received (or if it is otherwise found a winner fails to meet the qualifying criteria for entry) will result in forfeiture of their prize and selection by the EFL of a different winner(s). Winners who respond to their email notification will be provided with their prize at the Checkatrade Trophy Final 2018, or such other later time as the EFL may notify and is reasonable having regard to the nature of the prize.
  11. Entries will be held in two categories, one being those from Shrewsbury Town FC fans and the other being entries from Lincoln City FC fans. One winner will be selected at random from entries in each of those two categories.
  12. Each winner will win 2 tickets to the Checkatrade Trophy Final and the opportunity to play FIFA 18 at half time at Wembley Stadium (the location, duration and other logistics for which will be as determined by the EFL having regard to the requirements of the venue, commercial partners and health and safety and other lawful considerations).
  13. The winners will be expected to comply with any third-party terms and conditions that form part of the Prize, including but not limited to Standard Ticketing Terms and Conditions of the EFL, Wembley Stadium Ground Regulations. Wembley Stadium Ground Regulations can be found here:, and EA's licensing terms for acceptable use of FIFA 18.
  14. The winner of any prize which includes tickets is not permitted, by virtue of Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1998 to sell or otherwise dispose of the tickets to any other third party whatsoever, unless agreed by the EFL in writing.In the event of a prize winner being unable to accept their prize, upon agreement and at the discretion of the EFL, he/she may be permitted to nominate a family member or partner to accept the prize on their behalf.
  15. The Prize does not include travel, accommodation, food, beverages, souvenirs, gratuities, car parking charges, additional excursions and attractions or any other cost of a personal nature not stated (including spending money) all of which will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest.
  16. Tickets will be collected from Wembley Stadium on the day of The Checkatrade Trophy Final.
  17. Winners are responsible for the behaviour of themselves and their guest whilst taking the Prize. The EFL reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude a winner and/or guest from participation in any aspect of the Prize if any party fails to comply with the directions of the EFLr or any companies associated with the Prize or the winner and/or guest act in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or the public or is in the opinion of the EFL anti-social in any manner or which causes a disturbance or nuisance to others.
  18. Winners must inform the EFL of any access needs or other disability for either them or their guest which may affect their attendance or use of the Prize.
  19. Winners details may be checked against databases of any Club Banning Orders as well as the National Police Database. Those who may be subject to a court banning order will not be eligible to receive the Prize.
  20. By entering, winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity arranged by the EFL or by its partners or agencies involved in the Prize draw.
  21. The EFL accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged, delayed or unreadable. Insofar as permitted by law, the EFL, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the EFL, its agents or distributors. Your statutory rights are not affected. The EFL is not liable for any business losses incurred by entrants.
  22. The name and county of the prize winners will be available by sending a written request to: The EFL Survey, EFL, 55 Blandford Street, London, W1U 7HG. Entrants agree their name and county may be disclosed for this purpose.
  23. The personal information you provide will be kept securely and used to communicate with you in accordance with our privacy policy, together with other specific uses noted in these terms and conditions or on the entry form. By entering the competition entrants agree to be added to the subscriber database and our privacy policy provides information about the use we may make of your data. This will not include sending you marketing communications unless you have opted in to receive such communications (and you are free to unsubscribe from these communications at any time in the future).
  24. Entry into the draw will be deemed to constitute acceptance by you of these terms and conditions.
  25. Subject to any inability to exclude rights you may have by virtue of your country of residence, the prize draw is governed by English law and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
