Fantasy EFL Double Gameweek 33: who to captain this weekend?

Fantasy EFL double gameweek 33 sees only 38 of the 72 EFL sides play this GW, including all of League Two - four of those sides double! If are you still seeking inspiration on who to provide the armband, then look no further.

We've broken down the top captain picks by position to help you make the best decision and avoid any captaincy headaches.

Defenders

Connor Hall - Port Vale vs Morecambe (H), Barrow (H)

Port Vale's number five is the ideal captain option in defence this gameweek. He has seven or more Fantasy points in six of his last seven games, largely thanks to his huge defensive contributions numbers. He plays Morecambe (H) and Barrow (H), two games where a clean sheet is possible and contributions are near-guaranteed.

Sam Lavelle - Carlisle United vs Bromley (H), MK Dons (H)

Lavelle also earns captaincy shouts this gameweek due to his impressive form in terms of defensive contributions. He has eight clean sheets this season and will look to earn more in his fixtures against Bromley (H) and MK Dons (H). He averages six Fantasy points per game, and is only selected by 2.5% of managers.

Midfielders

Ben Garrity - Port Vale vs Morecambe (H), Barrow (H)

Garrity is a great shout for this gameweek, as his combination of form and fixtures arguably beats the rest. He has six goal involvements and 23 interceptions (+56) in just 22 appearances this season, earning him 122 Fantasy points in total. Morecambe (H) and Barrow (H) present two more opportunities for Garrity to impress.

Sam Foley - Barrow vs AFC Wimbledon (A), Port Vale (A)

Foley is another king of interceptions, managing 30 in just 24 appearances. He has coupled this with three goals to average five Fantasy points per game. He faces AFC Wimbledon (A) and Port Vale (A), which should aid to his already impressive tallies.

Forwards

Jayden Stockley / Lorent Tolaj - Port Vale vs Morecambe (H), Barrow (H)

The Port Vale duo are the standouts up top if you’re looking for a captaincy option.

The former has 16 goal contributions in 28 appearances, totalling 115 points, and is the most efficient attacker out of the four doubling sides. He also has three goal contributions (+11) in two games since returning from injury, and with 1% ownership, he could be a top differential to wear the armband. Elsewhere, Tolaj has 15 goal contributions in 27, including two goals (+10) in his previous three games. The number 19 has been a regular feature in recent weeks for Darren Moore’s side and looks set to retain his place on the wing.
