The January transfer window opened for all EFL clubs on Wednesday January 1 2025, and will close on Monday 3 February at 23:00. We've already seen plenty of movement across all three divisions, with plenty of incomings and outgoings, as squads look to be strengthened heading into the second-half of the campaign.

Nathan Lowe (F) - Walsall to Stoke City
The 21-year-old has been recalled by parent club Stoke following a sensational loan spell in the West Midlands. Lowe bagged 15 goals and provided seven assists in 22 games, totalling 157 points. The striker could stay with the Potters for the remainder of the season following Thomas Cannon (F) being recalled by Leicester City.
Enzo Le Fée (M) - Roma to Sunderland
The 24-year-old has joined on loan until the end of the season and is expected to anchor the midfield for Régis Le Bris. Despite limited game time at Roma this year, his history as a ball-winning midfielder with deep-lying playmaking abilities makes him an intriguing option for Fantasy EFL managers. Interceptions are rewarded with +2 points which could see him as a top option in future weeks.
Sonny Bradley (D) - Derby County to Wycombe Wanderers
Daniel Crowley (M) - Notts County to MK Dons
Crowley had been a key player for the Magpies this season, contributing four goals, six assists, and five interceptions in 18 games, accumulating 106 points. With his contract expiring in the summer, his January departure wasn't surprising. Manager Scott Lindsey may have pulled off a coup with the signing of the 27-year-old.
Dion Charles (F) - Bolton Wanderers to Huddersfield Town
The 29-year-old scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances for the Trotters, despite only starting 15 of those games. The Terriers have picked up the striker on a two-and-a-half-year deal, and will be hoping to nail a spot for the remainder of the season.
Matěj Jurásek (F) - Slavia Prague to Norwich City
The winger has signed a contract with Johannes Hoff Thorup's side, keeping him at the club until June 2030. The transfer fee remains undisclosed.With 91 appearances and 17 goals for the Slavia Prague, including experience in the UEFA Europa League, the 21-year-old brings a wealth of experience and a proven goalscoring record. He has been assigned the number 10 shirt and is expected to be a key player in the Canaries' bid for promotion.
Tristan Crama (D) - Brentford to Millwall
The 23-year-old has moved from West to South London, signing for Millwall for an undisclosed fee. Crama scored 147 points in 22 matches for Exeter City, helping the Grecians keep eight clean sheets (+40). He also offeredf attacking threat, scoring three goals (+21) and providing one assist (+3). Although he featured on the bench for the Lions' 0-1 loss against Hull City (H), he could make his debut against Cardiff City (H) on Tuesday 21st January.
Michal Helik (D) - Huddersfield Town to Oxford United
29-year-old Helik, who scored 127 Fantasy points in 18 matches for Huddersfield Town, including four consecutive double-digit hauls between GW20-22, has completed a move to Oxford United for an undisclosed fee. He scored two goals for the Terriers this season, and made his debut for the U's in their 1-0 home win against Blackburn Rovers.
Ben Brereton (F) - Southampton to Sheffield United
Sheffield United have re-signed the Chile international on loan until the end of the season from the Saints. In 14 appearances for the Blades in the 23/24 Premier League season, he scored six goals in 14 games, and has proven experience in the Championship. In the 21/22 season, the striker scored 22 goals for Blackburn Rovers and will be hoping to re-discover his excellent form for Chris Wilder's side.
Stephan Negru (D) - Oxford United to Salford City
After being recalled by the U's from his impressive loan spell at The Peninsula Stadium, the 22-year-old has returned for the second-half of the season. He scored 133 points for the Ammies in 20 appearances, and is nailed for minutes in Karl Robinson's side.
Jonjo Shevley (M) - Unattached to Burnley
The 32-year-old has joined the Clarets from Eyupspor in Turkey following the expiration of his contract. The former Premier League and England international, Shelvey has top-level experience and brings a wealth of quality to Scott Parker's side.
Thomas Cannon (F) - Leicester City to Sheffield United
After a successful loan stint at Stoke City, where he netted nine goals in 22 appearances, Leicester City recalled the striker. However, Championship contenders Sheffield United swiftly acquired him on a four-year contract for £10 million. He'll likely lead the line on a weekly basis for the Blades, who have scored 40 goals in 28 games.
Ryan Longman (F) - Hull City to Wrexham
The winger has joined the Red Dragons until the end of the 2026-27 season for an undisclosed fee. Although he missed the start of the season due to injury, he has over 100 appearances in the Championship and will look to help Phil Parkinson's side get promoted.
Morgan Whittaker (F) - Plymouth Argyle to Middlesbrough
The 24-year-old striker, who netted 24 goals in 72 appearances for Plymouth Argyle, has joined Michael Carrick's Middlesbrough for a club-record fee. Signing a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Championship's second-highest scorers, he's poised to further bolster their potent attack.
Hamza Choudhury (M) - Leicester City to Sheffield United
The Blades have signed Choudhury on loan until the end of the season, with the potential making the move permanent move in the Summer. He made 91 appearances for the Foxes and has previous experience working with Blades boss Chris Wilder at Watford in the 22/23 season. As a holding midfielder, the 27-year-old is likely to see interception points, alongside other contributions.
Connor Ripley (G) - Port Vale to Swindon Town
The 31-year-old leaves the Valiants this season after keeping nine clean sheets in 23 games for Darren Moore's side, scoring 105 points for his efforts. He joins the Robins on a deal until the end of the season and will be looking to cement his place between the sticks in the upcoming weeks.
John Egan (D) - Burnley to Hull City
The Republic of Ireland international joins Hull City on an 18-month deal from Burnley for an undisclosed fee. The player, who joined Burnley as a free agent this past summer, made only one start in seven appearances under Scott Parker this season, scoring 16 points. He'll be hoping to start for Hull against his former club at Turf Moor on Tuesday evening in GW27.
Rob Holding (D) - Crystal Palace to Sheffield United
To bolster their defence following a spate of injuries, including a season-ending injury to Harry Souttar (D), Sheffield United have signed the 29-year-old defender on a loan deal until the end of the season. Having made only one appearance for Crystal Palace since 2023, the versatile player will aim to solidify the Blades' back line as they strive for immediate promotion back to the Premier League.
Xavier Simons (M) - Hull City to Wycombe Wanderers
The Chairboys have signed midfielder Simons on loan from Championship side Hull City until the end of the season. Simons, who scored twice in 20 appearances for the Tigers and made 10 interceptions - earning 61 Fantasy points - offers versatility and Championship experience. He will aim to contribute to Wycombe's promotion push under new manager Mike Dodds.
Samuel Iling-Junior (F) - Aston Villa to Middlesbrough
This 21-year-old, who played 16 games on loan with Serie A side Bologna in the first half of the season (and scored in the Champions League), has joined Michael Carrick's squad. Recalled from his loan by parent club Aston Villa, he brings versatility and experience from Serie A champions Juventus, and will look to make an impact on loan until the end of the campaign.
Kelechi Iheanacho (F) - Sevilla to Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough have completed the loan signing of Nigerian international forward from Sevilla until the end of the season. The experienced striker boasts over 300 career appearances, including top-level experience, and has scored 100 goals for club and country.
Marcus Edwards (F) - Sporting CP to Burnley
Burnley have secured the loan signing of the forward until the end of the season. Edwards scored 24 goals in 120 appearances for the Portuguese giants and will aim to bolster Scott Parker's attack with his scoring ability and flair. The player, previously nicknamed 'Mini-Messi' during his time at Tottenham, will be looking to rediscover his best form as a skillful winger.
Emmanuel Dennis (F) - Nottingham Forest to Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers have signed Nigeria international Dennis on loan from Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the season. The 27-year-old forward has a wealth of experience in the Premier League, having scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 33 appearances for Watford during the 2021-22 season. Dennis will be looking to make an immediate impact at Ewood Park and help Rovers push for promotion to the Premier League.
Jayden Danns (F) - Liverpool to Sunderland
The striker has joined the Black Cats on loan until the end of the season, bolstering Régis Le Bris forward options. In nine games for Liverpool so far, Danns has scored three times and showed real promise for the Merseyside giants.
