Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has been named the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month for November.

If the final results were the same, flowing football and lots of goals – 14 in five games that yielded a maximum 15 points, Lampard’s side took a different route to success in November, coming from behind in three of their five wins.

“I’m delighted to have won the award. As always, it is a team effort, and I would like to thank all the players, staff and everyone involved for their continued hard work,” Lampard said.

“We have a great togetherness and team spirit here, and we’re all looking forward to the busy Christmas period and continuing our hard work.”

He said: “Same performances, same results for Frank’s Coventry. Brilliant month, scoring 14 goals and accumulating a maximum 15 points while also showing great character in coming from behind in three of their five victories.”

“That hard work in November earned them a 10-point gap above 2nd-placed Middlesbrough.

Sky Sports’ EFL pundit Don Goodman said: “November was more of the same from Frank Lampard’s team with lots of goals and a maximum 15 points from their 5 games.

“It wasn’t as straightforward as it sounds, though, with the Sky Blues having to show great character and come from behind in three of their games.”
