The March nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month Award are:
Paul Cook (Chesterfield)
With key players returning from injury, Cook led Chesterfield to four wins, including triumphs away at Salford City, Notts County and Barrow.#
They took home 13 points as they recaptured their early season form and moved towards the play-off places.
Danny Cowley (Colchester United)
Colchester have gathered springtime momentum thanks to Cowley’s reassuring management and the team spirit that he has built in Essex.
Five successive wins from their seven March games lifted his side into the promotion picture.
Andy Crosby (Tranmere Rovers)
Tranmere hadn’t won in ten games when Crosby was asked to take charge.
He brought back players, changed training, instilled belief and secured 12 points from six unbeaten games, which included facing high-flyers Bradford City, Port Vale and Grimsby Town.
Andy Whing (Barrow)
Whing has returned his new club to the Barrow identity of being hard to beat.
They showed resilience in draws from 2-0 down at Morecambe and AFC Wimbledon, and had notable wins at Notts County and Port Vale in an 11-point haul from six games.
The March nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award are:
Owen Bailey (Doncaster Rovers) - midfielder
Bailey contributed all over the pitch in March. The box-to-box midfielder helped to protect the Doncaster back line with his tackling, and headed in a late equaliser at promotion rivals Crewe Alexandra. He also added a goal and an assist in a win over Carlisle United.
Ryan Graydon (Fleetwood Town) – striker
The Irishman deployed his pace, trickery and ability to spin defenders before finishing confidently to the full with four goals and an assist in three games.
All came against promotion-chasing sides, before injury forced him off early in his fourth match.
George Lapslie (Bradford City) – midfielder
Given licence to charge into the area, Lapslie has given Bradford another goalscoring threat from midfield since joining in January.
Directly involved in six of his side’s nine goals, he scored four himself, braces against Cheltenham Town and Colchester United.
Lee O’Connor (Tranmere Rovers) – central defender
Made captain by caretaker manager Andy Crosby, O’Connor may be small in stature, but he is big in heart.
The Irish central defender loves a slide tackle and led by determined example as Tranmere conceded just three goals in six unbeaten games.
