Republic of Ireland international Dara O'Shea headed in Burnley's third goal of the night from a corner kick to put the Clarets in the driving seat with 73 minutes on the watch.
With 10 minutes of time remaining, Vitinho capped off a dominant display when the Brazilian made it 4-1 to all but wrap up victory for Burnley.
