More than 100,000 people have now signed up to play Fantasy EFL - the EFL’s first-ever 72-club fantasy football product - in its debut season.
The game burst into lifde on Friday night as Sheffield United's Ollie Arblaster scored the first goal in the Fantasy EFL era, while there was a 12-point haul for Barnsley's Luca Connell and 10 points awarded to Blackburn Rovers' Sammie Szmodics.
Having launched to the public on 22 July, the free-to-play game reached the significant milestone of 100,000 users on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 campaign, with Sheffield United’s Ollie Arblaster scoring the first goal of the Fantasy EFL era.
More than 23,000 public and private 'leagues' have also been created by users, with managers also competing in one of 72 'club leagues', based on their chosen favourite EFL club.
And if you haven't signed up yet, there's still time to get involved and score points this weekend, with players from remaining games across Sunday and Monday still available for selection right up until the games kick off.
Fantasy EFL features players from across all three of the EFL’s divisions – the Championship, League One and League Two – with almost 2,000 players from the 72 EFL Clubs to choose from when users create their teams.
The game’s hybrid format sees users challenged to select seven players from across the three divisions, plus two clubs to win for extra points, in every gameweek. Managers can select their 7-player squads from a variety of formations, including 1-2-2-2, 1-2-3-1 and 1-3-2-1.
And this season it's even easier to stay across the action with more than 1,000 games broadcast on Sky Sports or Sky Sports+, including every game this opening weekend.
