Bristol City put in a five-star performance to stun Blackburn Rovers at Ashton Gate. Strike partners Tommy Conway – who broke into double figures for the campaign – and Nahki Wells each bagged a brace for the Robins, while Anis Mehmeti also made the score-sheet for the hosts.
Swansea City took a huge step towards safety in their televised clash at home to Stoke City, who are also battling to avoid the drop. Liam Cullen, Matt Grimes and Josh Key were on target in a comfortable 3-0 win.

At the MKM Stadium, the points were shared between Hull City and Middlesbrough. It was a big night for both teams who are hoping to keep their Play-Off hopes alive. Boro took an early lead before the Tigers turned it around before the break. However, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, Carlos Corberan’s West Bromwich Albion extended their unbeaten run to 10 games without defeat in the Sky Bet Championship with a 2-0 victory over Rotherham United.
Similarly, there was nothing to separate second-place Ipswich Town and Watford at Portman Road where the outcome was a goalless stalemate.
And Josh Bowler scored the only goal of the game as Cardiff City beat Birmingham City 1-0 at St Andrew’s.

Peterborough United showed no signs of a Wembley hangover as Darren Ferguson’s men breezed past Port Vale at the Weston Homes Stadium. Joel Randall opened the scoring in the first half before Harrison Burrows – the Posh’s homegrown hero who scored twice under the arch to win his Club the Bristol Street Motors Trophy Final – converted from the spot. An own goal made it 3-0 in the closing stages to cap off a good night on home turf.

Elsewhere, fellow Trophy Finalists Wycombe Wanderers were in action at Adams Park. The Chairboys held off the challenge of automatic promotion candidates Derby County in a 0-0 draw in Buckinghamshire.
