Barrow v Stevenage

  • Both of Barrow’s two previous home games against Stevenage in League Two have been drawn, 1-1 in 2020-21 and 0-0 last term.
  • Stevenage have never lost to Barrow in League Two, playing five, winning three and drawing two against them; only against AFC Wimbledon and Harrogate (both 6) have they faced more times in the Football League without losing.
  • Barrow have won 18 league matches this season, their most in a Football League season since winning 21 games in 1967-68 in the third tier.
  • Stevenage have won promotion to League One this season, their first promotion since 2010-11, their first season in the EFL. Their 23 league wins this season are their most in a single season in the Football League, while they are guaranteed a top-three finish, also their highest ever finish in a division within the EFL.

Bradford City v Leyton Orient

  • Bradford City have lost just one of their last 12 home league matches against Leyton Orient (W7 D4), going down 0-2 in April 2007 under David Wetherall.
  • Leyton Orient could complete a league double over Bradford City for the first time since 1969-70, having won their home match against the Bantams this season 3-0 in December.
  • Since losing their first three home league games under Mark Hughes, Bradford have only lost four of their last 26 under the Welshman (W11 D11).
  • Leyton Orient have won League Two this season and have won 26 league games – they’ve only won more games in one Football League season, winning 29 games in 1955-56.

Colchester United v Mansfield Town

  • Although Colchester have only lost one of their last eight Football League home games against Mansfield (W5 D2), they are winless in their last three (D2 L1).
  • Mansfield could complete a Football League double over Colchester for the first time since 1967-68, having won this season’s reverse meeting 2-1 in December.
  • Colchester have won their last two home league matches, last winning three in a row in May 2021. They’ve netted four goals in each win, last scoring 4+ goals in three home games on the trot back in April 1986.
  • Mansfield Town have scored 70 goals in League Two this season, their most in a season in the Football League since scoring 76 goals in 2003-04 in the fourth tier. It’s the most goals ever scored in a season by a Nigel Clough side in the EFL.

Grimsby Town v AFC Wimbledon

  • This will be only the second EFL match between Grimsby Town and AFC Wimbledon; the Wombles won this season’s reverse match 1-0 in December.
  • When visiting an opponent for the first time in the Football League, AFC Wimbledon have managed just one win in their last 14 games (D6 L7), beating Colchester 2-1 in December this season.
  • Grimsby Town have won their last two home league matches, last winning three on the bounce in the EFL in February 2019.
  • Since the start of last season, AFC Wimbledon have dropped 79 points from winning positions in the Football League, more than any other side in the top four tiers. The Dons have gone on to win just one of the last 12 league games they’ve gone ahead in (D4 L7).

Harrogate Town v Rochdale

  • Harrogate are yet to lose to Rochdale in League Two, winning two of their three such meetings (D1). The three matches have seen a combined 16 goals (5.2 per game), with both sides scoring each time.
  • Rochdale’s only League Two away game at Harrogate saw them lose 3-2 on the opening day of 2021-22, with Warren Burrell netting a 90th-minute winner.
  • Harrogate Town have won three of their last four league matches (L1), as many as they’d won in their previous 20 combined (W3 D11 L6).
  • Rochdale have been relegated from League Two this season, ending an unbroken run of 95 consecutive seasons in the Football League stretching back to 1921-22. They’ve scored 45 league goals this season, the most by a side to finish bottom of League Two since Chesterfield scored 47 in 2017-18.

Newport County v Crewe Alexandra

  • Newport could complete a Football League double over Crewe for the first time since 1971-72, having won their reverse meeting 2-1 in December.
  • Crewe have lost both of their last two league visits to Newport, never before losing three in succession in the Football League.
  • Newport County have lost 10 home league matches this season – in only five Football League seasons have they lost more than 10, most recently in 2015-16 (11).
  • Crewe Alexandra have lost six of their last seven away league games, failing to score in five of those defeats. The other game was a 2-0 win at Doncaster in April.

Salford City v Gillingham

  • This will be the second ever EFL game between Salford and Gillingham, the Ammies winning the first 3-0 in December.
  • When visiting a new opponent for the first time in the Football League, Gillingham have won just one of their last seven such games (D4 L2), beating Crawley 2-1 in December 2011.
  • Salford City have won their last three league matches, with victories over Hartlepool, Walsall and Carlisle. They last won four in a row in March and April 2022 under Gary Bowyer.
  • Only three teams – Stockport, Salford and Bradford – have won more League Two points in 2023 than Gillingham (38).

Stockport County v Hartlepool United

  • Stockport have lost just one of their last eight Football League matches versus Hartlepool (W4 D3), a 0-3 defeat in April 2010.
  • Hartlepool last visited Stockport in the top four tiers in September 2009, drawing 2-2; they are winless in four such trips (D2 L2).
  • Stockport County have won 22 league games this season, their most in a season in the EFL since 2007-08 (24). The last newly promoted League Two team to win more than 22 games was Bristol Rovers in the 2015-16 campaign (26).
  • Hartlepool United have been relegated from League Two this season. They’ve scored 51 goals – only nine fewer than champions Leyton Orient – which is the most goals scored by a relegated League Two side since Hartlepool themselves in 2016-17 (54).

Sutton United v Carlisle United

  • Sutton United have yet to suffer defeat to Carlisle in League Two, winning two and drawing one of three previous match-ups.
  • Carlisle’s only previous League Two game away at Sutton United saw them lose 4-0 in September 2021, their heaviest defeat of the 2021-22 campaign.
  • Sutton United have lost their last six league games. The last League Two side to end a season (excl. the curtailed 2019-20 season) with seven consecutive losses were Crawley Town in 2015-16 (eight in a row).
  • No player has more assists in League Two this season than Carlisle United’s Owen Moxon (15), in what is Moxon’s first ever season in the EFL.

Swindon Town v Crawley Town

  • Swindon have only enjoyed one win in their last 13 league meetings with Crawley (D6 L6) and are winless in five such matches at home (D2 L3).
  • Crawley, 2-0 winners in this season’s reverse meeting in December, last completed a league double over Swindon in 2014-15 in League One.
  • Since Jody Morris’ first league game in charge of Swindon in February, only Walsall (15) and AFC Wimbledon (9) have fewer points in League Two than the Robins (16).
  • Crawley Town have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three league matches – they have never kept four in a row in the Football League.

Tranmere Rovers v Northampton Town

  • Tranmere are winless in six league meetings with Northampton (D2 L4) since a 2-1 home win in December 2014.
  • Northampton have won both of their last two league trips to Tranmere, never before winning three such visits in a row in the Football League.
  • Since the start of last season, Tranmere Rovers have picked up more points on home soil than any other League Two side – (87). In that same time, Northampton have won the most away points (74).
  • Excluding the 2019-20 campaign, Northampton are unbeaten in their final league game in the last six fully completed seasons (W3 D3) since losing 3-2 to Wycombe in 2014-15.

Walsall v Doncaster Rovers

  • Walsall have won eight of their last 10 league games against Doncaster, although have lost two of their last three.
  • Doncaster won their last league visit to Walsall 4-1 in September 2018, last winning successive such trips in the Football League in March 1971.
  • Walsall have won just one of their last 22 League Two matches (D13 L8), a 2-0 home win over Gillingham in March. They have drawn 19 league games this season, only drawn 20 games in two previous seasons, 2011-12 and 2020-21.
  • Doncaster have won just two of their last 15 league matches (D3 L10), although they did win 1-0 against Colchester United last time out.
