Here are the key stats and facts ahead of the final weekend in Sky Bet League One!

Barnsley v Peterborough United

  • Barnsley have kept a clean sheet in each of their last five home league victories against Peterborough, last failing to do so during their 3-2 win in October 1972.
  • Peterborough have won just one of their previous six Football League meetings with Barnsley (D1 L4) – a 2-0 away victory in April last year in the Championship.

Bristol Rovers v Bolton Wanderers

  • Bristol Rovers are winless in their last seven league meetings with Bolton (D4 L3) since a 2-0 home victory in January 1989.
  • Bolton have won their last two away games against Bristol Rovers in the Football League, and the Trotters are looking to win three consecutive such games for the first time.
  • Bristol Rovers have won just one of their last nine home league games (D3 L5), a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic in April. The Gas have failed to score more than once in all nine games, netting just four in total.
  • Bolton have conceded just 34 league goals this season – should they keep a clean sheet in this game, it would be their lowest total in a season since 1977-78 (33).

Burton Albion v MK Dons

  • Burton Albion are winless in their previous five league games against MK Dons (D2 L3) since a 1-0 home victory in January 2020 under Nigel Clough.
  • MK Dons have won two of their three away matches at Burton (L1), with both of those victories coming in their last two visits to the Pirelli Stadium.
  • Excluding the 2019-20 season, Burton have lost their final league game of the season in their last five full seasons, conceding at least twice in every defeat.
  • MK Dons have won just three of their last 16 League One matches (D7 L6), all 1-0 wins consecutively in March against Cambridge, Accrington and Morecambe.

Cambridge United v Forest Green Rovers

  • Cambridge United have won two of their four home games against Forest Green in the Football League (L2) - winning the most recent such meeting 1-0 in March 2021.
  • Forest Green have won six of their last seven league meetings with Cambridge (L1), with the Green scoring 2+ goals in five of those victories.
  • Cambridge United have lost 10 home league games this season, only losing more in two Football League campaigns: 18 in 1984-85 and 11 in 2014-15.
  • In their first season in League One, Forest Green have been relegated suffering 30 league defeats so far. They are only the third newly promoted side to lose 30 games in an EFL season, along with Tranmere Rovers in 1938-39 (second tier, 31 defeats) and Hereford United in 2008-09 (League One, 30 defeats).

Cheltenham Town v Charlton Athletic

  • Cheltenham are seeking to complete the league double over Charlton for the first time, after winning the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier this season.
  • Charlton are winless across each of their three meetings with Cheltenham in the Football League (D1 L2), although they are looking to avoid successive defeats against the Robins for the very first time.
  • Cheltenham Town have lost none of their last seven home league games (W3 D4), keeping three clean sheets in this run.
  • Charlton Athletic have alternated between a win (4) and defeat (3) in their last seven League One games, winning 3-2 at home to Port Vale last time out.

Exeter City v Morecambe

  • Exeter are without a win in their previous three league matches against Morecambe (D2 L1) since a 3-2 away victory in August 2019 in League Two.
  • Morecambe have won just one of their last seven away league games at Exeter (D4 L2), although that came in their most recent such visit via a 2-0 victory in January 2021.
  • Exeter City have lost their last six league matches, last losing seven in a row in the Football League in February 1984.
  • Morecambe have won their last three league games, having won just one of their previous 15 before this run. The Shrimps are looking to win four in a row for the first time since December 2020 in League Two.

Fleetwood Town v Ipswich Town

  • Fleetwood are winless in their last four league matches against Ipswich (D1 L3) since a 2-0 home victory in March 2021 under Simon Grayson.
  • Ipswich are looking to win successive away league games at Fleetwood for the very first time, following their 2-0 win in their most recent visit in March last year.

  • Lincoln have won just one of their previous 13 Football League meetings with Shrewsbury (D5 L7) - a 1-0 away victory in April 2021.
  • Shrewsbury are unbeaten in their last nine away league games against Lincoln (W4 D5), boasting an aggregate scoreline of 12-1 across those four victories.
  • Lincoln City have drawn 14 home league games this season – no side in Football League history has ever drawn 15 home games in one season.
  • Shrewsbury Town have lost their last five away league games, last having a longer run in the EFL in a single season between September and December 1999.

Oxford United v Accrington Stanley

  • Oxford have won just one of their last four matches against Accrington Stanley in the Football League (D1 L2) - a 5-1 home victory in September 2021.
  • Accrington Stanley have won only one of their previous three away league games at Oxford United, winning 2-1 at the Kassam Stadium in April 2021.
  • Oxford United have won their last two league games by an aggregate score of 7-0, having won none of their previous 17 games. The U’s haven’t won three games in a row since February 2022.
  • Accrington Stanley have lost 24 league matches this season, only losing more in one Football League season, losing 27 games in 2007-08 in League Two.

Port Vale v Plymouth Argyle

  • Port Vale have won each of their last six league games against Plymouth, which is the Valiants longest such run against a current League One side.
  • Plymouth have lost their last three away visits to Port Vale in the Football League (L3) since a 5-1 victory at Vale Park in October 2003.
  • Only Forest Green Rovers (16) and Accrington Stanley (14) have lost more League One games in 2023 than Port Vale (13).
  • Plymouth Argyle have won 30 League One matches this season – only one side has won more than 30 games in a third tier season this century, with Wolves winning 31 in 2013-14.

Portsmouth v Wycombe Wanderers

  • Portsmouth are unbeaten at home against Wycombe Wanderers in the Football League, avoiding defeat in each of the two sides seven meetings at Fratton Park (W3 D4).
  • Wycombe are looking to win successive league games over Portsmouth for the very first time, after the Chairboys’ 2-0 away victory in the most recent such encounter last December.
  • Portsmouth are unbeaten in 10 league games (W4 D6) since losing 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday in March, last going 11 without defeat between May and October 2018 (12 in a row).
  • Wycombe have only won two of their last nine league games (D2 L5), losing each of their last two. They haven’t lost three in a row since last October.

Sheffield Wednesday v Derby County

  • Sheffield Wednesday are looking to win consecutive home league games against Derby without conceding for the first time since 1935, following the Owls’ 1-0 win in the last such game in January 2021.
  • Derby have won just one of their last six meetings with Sheffield Wednesday in the Football League (D4 L1) - a 3-1 away victory in February 2020 under Phillip Cocu.
  • Sheffield Wednesday have finished 3rd in League One this season – they have 93 points currently, already the most by a team to not finish in the top-two of a league since three points for a win was introduced in 1981-82. They have 27 league wins, the most by a side not in the top-two at the end of the season since Sheffield United in 2011-12 (27, finished 3rd in League One).
  • Derby County haven’t won an away league game this season against any of the teams currently above them in the League One table (Plymouth, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, Bolton), drawing one and losing three of those four games so far.
