With both teams now just a game away from Wembley and the Carabao Cup Final, we caught up with Newcastle United fan and DJ Schak, and Southampton fanatic and Regent rock band member Ben Rooke
Schak said:
The environment we have is magical, it’s a fairy tale. The people who slate it have never been here they’ve never witnessed that passion and what a wonderful atmosphere it is.
Our fans are just amazing – they’re the best in England without a doubt. That’s not being biased but if you come to one of our games you’ll see.
The atmosphere tonight will be absolutely electric so we can’t wait to see what it’s going to be like. Newcastle was a sleeping giant that’s now woken up.
We’re hoping that if this ultimately our first trophy, it’ll be the first of many. But if we reached the Final, no matter what we go on to achieve with our investment in the future, this will be one of the greatest night’s our Club has ever experienced.
I think while we’re on the come up – it’s the best feeling. I was at the Quarter-Final game which was the best atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed at St James’ Park – so I can’t imagine what tonight’s going to be like.

Everyone’s buzzing to be in a Semi-Final. I think this Carabao Cup run we’ve been on first of all has massively helped us a Club in general. It’s given us the belief that we can have a positive outcome this season.
Nathan Jones has had a bit of stick but he’s really starting to turn things around. His passion is really driving in to the players and that’s exactly what we needed. I think he’s doing a great job for us.
The Manchester City game is up there with one of the best results that I’ve seen for a good few years. It’s been really tough for us recently so it’s really given us hope.
I’ve got too many Newcastle friends that are fans, so we have to turn this around and go through to the Final to keep them quiet! I believe that we can go through and to get to Wembley would mean everything.
