Birmingham City v Blackpool

  • Birmingham have won four of their last six home league matches against Blackpool (D2) since a 1-0 defeat in September 2008 in the Championship.
  • Blackpool have won just two of their last 13 league games against Birmingham (D5 L6), both home wins in 2014-15 and 2021-22.
  • Birmingham have kept a clean sheet in their last three home league matches, last keeping four in a row in January and February 2012.
  • Blackpool have lost their last eight away league matches, last losing nine in a row between April and October 1992.
  • Blackpool have lost 13 away league games this season, last suffering more defeats on the road in a season in 2015-16 (14).

Bristol City v Rotherham United

  • Bristol City are looking to complete their first league double over Rotherham United since the 1995-96 campaign.
  • Rotherham are looking to win consecutive league visits to Bristol City for the first time since August 2000, having won 2-0 in their last game at Ashton Gate in 2021.
  • Bristol City haven’t lost any of their eight home league games in 2023 (W4 D4) – they lost four of their last six home games in 2022 (D2).
  • Rotherham United are winless in their last 11 away league matches (D6 L5), failing to score in seven of those games and netting just four times in total.
  • Nigel Pearson has lost two of his three league matches against Rotherham (W1), with those defeats separated by almost 22 years – 3-1 with Carlisle in April 1999 and 2-0 with Bristol City in March 2021.

Burnley v Queens Park Rangers

  • Burnley are looking to complete their first league double over QPR since the 2008-09 season, when they were managed by Owen Coyle.
  • QPR have lost 13 of their 18 away league matches against Burnley (W2 D3), with their two wins at Turf Moor coming in March 1980 and December 2007.
  • Burnley have won 15 home league matches this season, last winning more in the 1999-2000 campaign (16) in the third tier.
  • Queens Park Rangers have won just one of their last 14 away league matches (D5 L8), a 1-0 win at Preston North End in December.
  • Burnley are unbeaten in all 21 home league matches this season (W15 D6), last enjoying a longer run between April 2013 and March 2014 (23 in a row).

Cardiff City v Stoke City

  • Cardiff are unbeaten in their last four home league matches against Stoke City (W2 D2) since a 1-0 defeat back in August 2007.
  • Stoke City have won just one of their last nine league matches against Cardiff City (D5 L3), a 2-0 home win in February 2020.
  • Cardiff City have won just two of their last 13 home league games (D4 L7), consecutive wins against Reading and Bristol City in February and March respectively.
  • Stoke City are unbeaten in their last five away league matches (W3 D2), their best unbeaten run since a nine-game stretch between November 2020 and January 2021.
  • Cardiff striker Connor Wickham has been directly involved in four goals in his last four league appearances against Stoke (3 goals, 1 assist).

Coventry City v Reading

  • Coventry have won their last two home league matches against Reading, last winning three in a row against the Royals in September 1962.
  • Reading are looking to complete their first league double over Coventry City since the 2009-10 campaign.
  • Coventry City have lost just two of their last 15 home league games (W7 D6), although they are winless in their last three (D2 L1).
  • Reading have lost 15 away league games this season, their most in a season since 2012-13 in the Premier League (also 15). The Royals last suffered more in a campaign in 1996-97 (16).
  • Coventry manager Mark Robins has lost six of his 10 league matches against Reading (W3 D1), with every defeat seeing his teams fail to score.

Hull City v Watford

  • This is Hull’s first home league match against Watford since April 2017 in a Premier League meeting, winning 2-0 under Marco Silva.
  • Watford have won two of their last 10 league games against Hull City (D3 L5), failing to score in their last two against the Tigers.
  • Hull have kept six clean sheets in their last seven home league games (W4 D2 L1), losing 3-1 to already promoted Burnley in the other game.
  • Watford have won none of their last seven away league games (D3 L4) since a 1-0 win over Norwich in January under previous manager Slaven Bilic.
  • Watford manager Chris Wilder’s last away league match against Hull City was back in April 2019 as Sheffield United manager, winning 3-0.

Norwich City v Swansea City

  • Norwich City have won four of their last five league matches against Swansea City, losing the other 2-0 away from home in February 2021.
  • Swansea are winless in their last seven league visits to Norwich (D2 L5) since a 3-2 win in November 2008 under manager Roberto Martinez.
  • Norwich have failed to score in their last three home league games – outside of the top-flight, the Canaries haven’t gone four in a row without a home goal since their first five home games in the Football League in September and October 1920 in the Third Division South.
  • Swansea City have won their last two away league games, more than in their previous 13 away games combined (W1 D5 L7).
  • This is David Wagner’s first league game against Swansea City since March 2018 with Huddersfield Town, a goalless draw in which they had 30 shots, 50 touches in the opposition box, 81.2% possession and faced no shots at all.

Wigan Athletic v Millwall

  • Wigan Athletic are unbeaten in their last four league matches against Millwall (W2 D2) since a 2-1 defeat in October 2018.
  • Millwall have lost their last two away league matches against Wigan, last beating the Latics away from home in April 2014.
  • Wigan have won just four of their last 23 home league matches (D7 L12), losing their last home game 2-0 against Swansea.
  • Millwall have failed to score in their last two away league games, last going three consecutive away games without a goal in November 2020.
  • Wigan Athletic have lost 11 home league matches this season – they’ve only lost more home games in two Football League seasons (12 in 2014-15, 12 in 2020-21).

Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers

  • Preston are looking for their first league double over Blackburn Rovers since the 2018-19 campaign.
  • Blackburn have won their last two away league games against Preston North End, scoring at least three times in each victory (3-0 in 2020-21, 4-1 in 2021-22).
  • Preston North End have won their last three home league matches, last winning four consecutively in August and September 2019.
  • Blackburn Rovers have won just one of their last nine away league games (D4 L4), a 3-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers in February.
  • Blackburn striker Ben Brereton has been involved in six goals in his last five Championship appearances against Preston (2 goals, 4 assists).

West Bromwich Albion v Sunderland

  • West Brom have lost just one of their last 16 league games against Sunderland (W10 D5), a 2-0 defeat in the Premier League in May 2014.
  • Sunderland have lost seven of their last eight away league games against West Brom (D1), last winning at the Hawthorns in 2006-07 under Roy Keane.
  • West Bromwich Albion are unbeaten in their last 12 home league matches (W9 D3), keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding just three goals, although they drew 2-2 with QPR last time out on home soil.
