The September nominations for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month Award are:
Jack Diamond (Lincoln City) - striker
Moving to Lincoln on loan might seem a risky move for Diamond. On the other hand, four goals which included two silky smooth finishes in a hat-trick at Bristol Rovers plus two other goal involvements in three games, suggests otherwise.
Anis Mehmeti (Wycombe Wanderers) – winger
The 21-year-old put together a personal highlights reel in September showcasing his mesmeric dribbling ability, close control and tenacity to score at Fleetwood and Derby, and serve up an assist with a mazy run at Sheffield Wednesday.
Marlon Pack (Portsmouth) – midfielder
The lynchpin in Portsmouth’s midfield, Pack’s intelligence and range of passes dictates the Pompey play. He rarely gives the ball away, while his wise use of space as well as the ball created the opening goal in the win at Burton.
Morgan Whittaker (Plymouth Argyle) - striker
In four games, Whittaker started the Plymouth comeback at Derby, scored the winner against Oxford, provided a defence-splitting assist to put his side ahead at Portsmouth and scored the winner with a screamer against Ipswich.
