The October nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:
Grant McCann (Peterborough United)
McCann didn’t fret when results dipped in September, convinced that his methods would see the wins return. They did, five of them in a 16-point haul from seven games. Most significant were the victories at MK Dons and Oxford.
Kieran McKenna (Ipswich Town)
McKenna’s side were League One’s entertainers in October. Their seven games, which brought them 16 points, saw a total of 26 goals, including a thrilling 4-4 draw at Charlton and stirring 3-2 victories over Portsmouth and Port Vale.
Darren Moore (Sheffield Wednesday)
Moore sends his swashbuckling side out to attack and win every match. The 3-0 and 4-2 wins over Cheltenham and Burton, respectively, were proof of that as Wednesday maintained their season’s average with 14 points from seven games.
Steven Schumacher (Plymouth Argyle)
There is a symbiotic serenity about Schumacher’s fit with his Argyle side. He has a happy squad, players giving their all for each other and emerging with a result every time, as 19 points and 18 goals from seven unbeaten games prove.
