Pre-match soundtracks with a twist

With a smart meter and in-home display, or IHD you can keep a closer eye on how much energy you’re using, and how much it’s costing you.

Matchday music and pre-game tunes as the players enter the pitch before kick-off are now a staple of football matches across the country.

The right song can energise home fans and players, both inspiring those on and off the pitch, while providing an atmosphere for opposing teams looking to cause an upset.

Some can prompt a set of fans to laud their favourite players, chanting their own lyrics over a soundtrack from the speakers.

Popular pre-game songs from across the EFL include Hey Jude, Seven Nation Army, Sweet Caroline, and a Fratellis favourite, Chelsea Dagger.

However, tunes with a distinct energy theme can also be heard across the terraces.

If clubs fancied an energy themed playlist, we’ve got them covered.

On the list could be She’s Electric by Oasis, Kanye West’s Flashing Lights, or Higher Power by Coldplay.

Alternatively, Mr Brightside by the Killers could be an option for a stadium DJ, or an ACDC classic, High Voltage.

While you could be hearing energy themed songs inside stadiums, smart meters and in-home displays (IHD) can help you keep track of your energy use at home.
