The April nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month Award are:
Joey Barton (Bristol Rovers)
Chaired off the pitch at Rochdale by delirious Rovers fans even though promotion is far from guaranteed, Barton has brought the club together on and off the pitch. Fourteen points from six unbeaten games kept up their impressive momentum.
Steve Evans (Stevenage)
Tasked with saving Stevenage from the drop, Evans shrugged off an early April defeat to relegation rivals Oldham to lead his new team to a run of 10 points from four games, conceding just one goal, and guarantee League Two safety.
Matt Gray (Sutton United)
Gray refused to allow an extra-time final defeat at Wembley to throw off his side’s tilt at promotion, galvanising his tired squad and inspiring them to a 12-point haul from six games, including wins over play-off rivals Mansfield and Newport.
Matt Taylor (Exeter City)
Exeter had suffered heartache in each of the past five seasons, losing in three play-off finals. Taylor set aside the crushing pressure that history created to lead his side convincingly to automatic promotion with 16 points from seven games.
