The April nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:
Brennan Johnson (Nottingham Forest) – attacking midfielder
Whether it was his two clinical finishes at Blackpool or a superb cross to assist the only goal at Peterborough, the dynamic Johnson displayed his growing maturity as he contributed four goals and four assists to the Forest charge.
Joel Piroe (Swansea City) - striker
The fulcrum of a free-flowing Swansea attack with his easy mobility and eye for goal, there is a crisp technique and a calmness about Piroe’s ball-striking. It all added up to seven goals and two assists in seven games for the Dutchman.
Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) - striker
With his side stuttering, Solanke took it upon himself to keep them in the automatic promotion places, driving forward and taking on defenders. His six goals and an assist included priceless equalisers against Bristol City and Fulham.
Harry Toffolo (Huddersfield Town) – wing-back
The 26-year-old discovered the goalscoring form of his career with four goals in six games, bursting late into the box from wing-back in his desire to drive the Terriers to the play-offs while cutting inside for a sumptuous curler at Coventry.
