Nottingham Forest clinched promotion back to the Premier League, beating Huddersfield Town 1-0 in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final!
After a 23-year absence, the Reds made their top flight return following a narrow victory over the Terriers at Wembley Stadium.
Steve Cooper's side took the lead in the first half courtesy of an own goal. Levi Colwill turned the ball into his own net in the 43rd minute, moments before the half-time whistle sounded to make it 1-0 to Forest, and it proved to be a valuable goal.
Huddersfield didn't give up hope, continuing to press for a leveller in the second period. Most notably, the West Yorkshire outfit had a penalty appeal dismissed with 73 minutes on the watch. Full-back Harry Toffolo was brough down in the area by Jack Colback but shouts for a spot-kick were waved away.
And Forest hung on to a slender lead to see the game out and win promotion from the Championship.
