The February nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:
Allan Campbell (Luton Town) - midfielder
The all-action heartbeat of a Luton side that defies budgets and reputations alike. Campbell’s energy and poise in possession drove the Hatters to five wins, while he added two goals, including a dazzling strike against West Brom.
Wes Foderingham (Sheffield United) - goalkeeper
Foderingham conceded a single goal in United’s first and last games of the month and none in the nine hours in-between. His five clean sheets included numerous fine stops and a penalty save with United down to ten men against Blackburn.
Lucas Joao (Reading) - striker
Injured for five months and then slowly regaining form and fitness, Joao exploded into life in February, igniting Reading’s season with five goals and an assist, which included a lovely solo run and finish in the vital win at Preston.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) – striker
His teammates have been stellar this season, too, but it is Mitrovic who keeps winning games for Fulham with six more in five games as he broke the Championship single-season record. Headers, controlled volleys, rebounds, he snaffled the lot.
