There were plenty of talking points from another exciting round of EFL action over the weekend, with Bolton Wanderers smashing Sunderland for six and Cameron Brannagan netting four - yes, four! - penalties at Gillingham.
Here, WhoScored.com run through the top five best rated EFL performances from the weekend.
5. Jonah Ayunga (Morecambe) - 8.77 rating
Jonah Ayunga had scored just three league goals prior to Morecambe's trip to Accrington on Saturday, but bagged a first half brace in their eventual 2-2 draw at Wham Stadium. The 24-year-old found a way past Toby Savin twice from six shots, and worked hard off the ball, too, making three tackles to feature in the EFL best XI this week with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.77.
4. Jordan Moore-Taylor (Forest Green) - 8.79 rating
Forest Green extended their lead at the top of League Two to 10 points as they romped to a 4-0 win at second-placed Tranmere on Saturday. For context - Tranmere had conceded just six league goals at home prior to their welcome of Forest Green. Jordan Moore-Taylor scored his side's third of the afternoon, that the centre-back's second goal of the season. The 28-year-old defended solidly, too, making five interceptions and four clearances to nail down one of three centre-back spots in the team with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.79.
3. Cameron Brannagan (Oxford) - 9.25 rating
It's rare for a player to score four goals in a single goal, but to do so from the penalty spot takes some doing. Cameron Brannagan kept his composure from 12 yards on four different occasions at Gillingham over the weekend as Oxford secured a momentous 7-2 win. An additional three tackles capped an excellent afternoon for Brannagan, who returned a WhoScored.com rating of 9.25 in the process.
2. Lyndon Dykes (QPR) - 9.28 rating
QPR got their promotion push back on track following a minor stutter against Swansea last week as the smashed Reading 4-0 on home turf. Lyndon Dykes was on hand to bag a first half brace against the Royals, netting with two of six shots in west London. The Scot was unfortunate not to add an assist having created two goalscoring chances to earn his best WhoScored.com rating (9.28) in a league match this season.
1. Dion Charles (Bolton) - 9.52 rating
Taking home the WhoScored.com EFL Player of the Week award is Bolton striker Dion Charles for his stunning display in Bolton's resounding 6-0 win over promotion hopefuls Sunderland. Charles had a direct hand in three of the Trotters' six goals, netting with two of three shots and providing an assist from one of two key passes. The 26-year-old was a nightmare to contain on home turf as he made four tackles to contribute towards his rating of 9.52.
