The December nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:
John Coleman (Accrington Stanley)
Coleman celebrated 20 years in charge of Stanley across two spells in style on Boxing Day as his side beat leaders Rotherham, one of three wins in the month, as they collected 10 points from five games to move into the top half.
Lee Johnson (Sunderland)
Sunderland were the busiest team in League One in December. They made the most of their six games with a 14-point haul and a huge 17-3 goal differential as Johnson juggled his squad and lifted them to the top of the table.
Leam Richardson (Wigan Athletic)
Postponements limited Wigan to three matches, but Richardson ensured that standards were maintained with seven points gained, including an impressive 3-2 win at fellow promotion hopefuls Oxford, to sustain their challenge.
Paul Warne (Rotherham United)
It is one thing to gain momentum, quite another to maintain it, but that is what Rotherham have done under Warne’s astute leadership. His confident, well-drilled side collected three wins from four games to stay in the top two.
