The December nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:
John Buckley (Blackburn Rovers) - midfielder
With Buckley’s coming of age as a Rovers starter has arrived an exceptional ability to make interceptions, read the game and glide forward using his technically ability. He also added a goal and two assists as Blackburn went third.
Morgan Gibbs-White (Sheffield United) – attacking midfielder
He may not have spent many minutes on the pitch, but how the young midfielder used them, driving Sheffield United on with bewildering precision at pace. He was unplayable at Cardiff with two assists and a goal in the 3-2 win.
Isaiah Jones (Middlesbrough) – wing back
The dynamic 22-year-old contributed four clean sheets, the only goal against Swansea, both assists in the win at Blackpool and a run for the decisive penalty against Bournemouth - not bad for a wing-back in his debut EFL season.
Harry Toffolo (Huddersfield Town) – wing-back
After a nomadic career mostly on loan, Toffolo has found a home in West Yorkshire, particularly on Huddersfield’s left-wing where his pace, trickery and crossing ability helped him serve up assists in four successive December games.
