The December nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month Award are:
Carlos Corberan (Huddersfield Town)
Corberan halted his team’s slide in style, inspiring them to their first away victories in three months with wins at Bristol City and Nottingham Forest to earn 11 points from five unbeaten games and regain a place in the play-off positions.
Tony Mowbray (Blackburn Rovers)
Consistency in the Championship is notoriously difficult to achieve. Managing it with a young side is an even more elusive feat, yet Mowbray inspired Rovers to a perfect four victories, which included a 2-0 win at high-flying Bournemouth.
Wayne Rooney (Derby County)
When the month began, Derby had just a single point to their name and the fans were in despair. Not once did Rooney lose faith in his team and successive wins over Blackpool, West Brom and Stoke renewed hope at Pride Park.
Chris Wilder (Middlesbrough)
The subtle changes he has made at the Riverside since arriving in November are paying off royally with 13 points from five unbeaten games and just a single goal conceded. Energy levels, confidence and optimism are all on the up.
