The Reds breezed through Round Three with a victory 3-0 over Norwich City at Carrow Road, before booking their place in the Quarter-Final, overcoming Preston North End in a 2-0 triumph away from home at Deepdale in Round Four.
There was late drama against Leicester City in the Quarter-Final. Liverpool played out an exhilirating draw with the Foxes on home turf as Takumi Minamino's injury-time equaliser took the tie down to a penalty shoot-out, and Diogo Jota netted the decisive spot-kick to take the Reds through to the Semi-Final where Arsenal awaited.
A goalless first leg between Jürgen Klopp's side and the Gunners at Anfield set up the second let at the Emirates Stadium. Jota was the hero once again, striking either side of the break in a 2-0 triumph to see the Reds through to the 2022 Carabao Cup Final.
