Derby day triumphs and shoot-out drama; Chelsea have had no easy route to the Final of the Carabao Cup.
Things could have been very different for the Blues, who edged out Aston Villa and Southampton in Round Three and Four respectively. Back-to-back 1-1 draws in the competition against Villa and the Saints saw Chelsea progress on penalties at Stamford Bridge.
A first meeting with West London neighbours Brentford in the competition was on the cards in the Quarter-Final, and the deadlock was broken with 10 minutes left on the watch, courtesy of an own-goal, before Jorginho all but seaaled Chelsea's place in the Semi-Final from the spot in a 2-0 victory over the Bees.
And a 3-0 aggregate win over cross-city rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Semi-Final - with the Blues taking a 2-0 lead into the second leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before beating Spurs 1-0 in North London - confirmed their place in the Final.
