The September nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award are:
Luke Armstrong (Harrogate Town) – striker
An old school centre forward – quiet off the pitch, a beast on it - who has already proven himself a hit with the Harrogate supporters with his constant movement and effort. Three goals and two assists in five games have helped, too.
Nicky Cadden (Forest Green Rovers) – wing-back
Of Forest Green’s five goals, four of them came courtesy of rampaging Cadden runs down the left, either whipping in crosses at pace or dribbling inside to create havoc. Solid defensively, too, as Rovers didn’t concede a goal all month.
Ben Garrity (Port Vale) - midfielder
The driving force as Vale moved into the play-off positions, Garrity simply doesn’t stop working to recover possession, then surges forward to join the attack as he did with two superb goals at Swindon and a sweeping winner at Scunthorpe.
Harry Smith (Leyton Orient) - striker
Only made his Orient debut in mid-August, yet Smith has already brought a towering physical presence to a free-scoring attack and an astuteness to bring teammates into play. Scored four goals, all headers, in as many games.
