The October nominations for the Sky Bet ChampionshipManager of the Month Award are:
Neil Critchley (Blackpool)
A second successive nomination for the Blackpool manager who learned a thing or two about momentum in last season’s promotion campaign. Four wins in five matches for his side included a stunning 3-2 win from 2-0 down at Reading.
Russell Martin (Swansea City)
Patience can be a rare commodity in football, but Martin has shown it to his players in abundance, so completely does he believe in a passing game. That approach began to pay off in October with 10 points gained from five matches.
Scott Parker (Bournemouth)
Parker led his team to a perfect 15 points from five games, with 10 goals scored and four clean sheets as they dominated the Championship. Even the one goal they conceded led to a confidence-building comeback win over Sheffield United.
Marco Silva (Fulham)
Questions were asked of Silva when Fulham succumbed to a 4-1 defeat at Coventry. They were answered in full and with swaggering style. Four straight wins with 13 goals scored featured a 3-0 win over promotion rivals West Brom.
