Referee Graham Salisbury to retire

9 May 2021

Graham Salisbury has confirmed that Sunday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Wigan Athletic and Swindon Town will be his last as a National Group Referee.

The long-serving Match Official - who took charge of the EFL Trophy Final between Brentford and Carlisle United at Wembley Stadium in 2011 - has enjoyed a tremendous career over the course of 21 seasons.

This weekend's final-day fixture at the DW Stadium represents his 588th EFL match, and he will be supported by his son, Michael, who has been named the Fourth Official for the match.

Everyone at the EFL would like to wish Graham all the best in retirement.
