Ryan Lowe reviews the Championship action

5 November 2020

Plymouth Argyle manager Ryan Lowe was a guest pundit on last night's EFL on Quest highlights show, taking a closer look at the Sky Bet Championship action.

Here's what he had to say following Wednesday's fixtures...

On Preston's win at leaders Reading...

“It’s unbelievable to see the way Preston are playing, and the style they’re playing. Yet, they can’t win at home, but can take points on the road like they did tonight”

“There’s not many like him [Emil Riis Jakobsen] now; he’s always on the shoulder, knows where the ball is going to go.

"Fair play to the boy; he was rejected at Derby County, and tonight grabbed his first and second league goal of the Championship season.”

On Wycombe's back-to-back wins...

“The togetherness of Wycombe is what got them to the Championship, a never-say-die attitude, and it’s performing for them in their last two games.”

On Rob Dickie's display for QPR against Derby...

“It’s a great performance from him and that’s why they invested so much money in him. He shows with this assist he’s a total footballer.”

On Luton Town and Nathan Jones...

“I don’t know why it didn’t work out for Nathan Jones at Stoke, maybe there were too many big egos at the club and he tried to change too much too quickly. But, he knows his philosophy and way of playing at Luton, it’s a perfect fit for him.”
