The December nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award are:
Eoin Doyle (Swindon Town) – striker
Could he become the first player ever to win the award three months in a row? Five goals in as many games offer powerful credentials in his astonishing season, including a shimmy and finish from outside the box against Oldham.
Anthony O’Connor (Bradford City) – central defender
The mainstay of a Bradford rearguard which conceded just one goal in five December games despite rotating his partners in a three-man central defence. Athletic and mobile, he made two crucial blocks at Leyton Orient.
Harry Pell (Colchester United) – midfielder
Three goals and two assists in five games for the tall midfielder who made his driving presence felt with important contributions to his side’s unbeaten month. Two headers included a last-minute diving effort for the winner against Salford.
Randell Williams (Exeter City) – winger
Played a starring role in Exeter’s stellar December, using his pace, dribbling ability and trickery on both wings to beat defenders and provide a constant supply of crosses. Added three assists to a fine individual goal against Northampton.
