The divisional standings couldn't be much closer, and there's more action on the way in the Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two!
Another weekend of big fixtures awaits in the Sky Bet Championship! It all begins on Friday night, as Middlesbrough make the long journey south to take on 4th-placed Fulham, with Boro among the form sides in the division, setting this up to be an unmissable clash under the lights.
Another standout fixture sees automatic promotion-chasing Leeds United head to free-scoring Queens Park Rangers for Saturday's early kick-off. The Whites will have a chance to go back to the top, with leaders West Bromwich Albion not in action until Monday, when they face Stoke City.
Brentford were excellent in beating QPR in the West London derby last time out; they're up against Huddersfield Town, who will be looking to bounce back following defeat at Yorkshire rivals Barnsley in their most recent league encounter.
Here's the list of games on the way this Saturday...
If you thought things were close in Sky Bet League One last season, think again! There are just 10 points between 1st and 15th positions in the league table going into the weekend, with Rotherham United currently leading the pack on goal difference. Can they stay there with a win over Bristol Rovers?
Elsewhere, there's a fixture which could be significant at both ends of the table, with in-form Sunderland AFC travelling to MK Dons, who are currently three points above the drop zone. The same can also be said for Peterborough United's visit to AFC Wimbledon.
Fresh from a 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in midweek, Lincoln City are on home soil once again, this time against Blackpool, who remain right in the mix with several other sides.
Things are equally tight in Sky Bet League Two, with five sides locked on 44 points apiece! Leading the way are Swindon Town, who travel to last season's Play-Off Finalists, Newport County, looking to strengthen their grip on top spot.
Two of the challenging sides level on points are Crewe Alexandra on Cheltenham Town, who are set to lock horns in Cheshire on Saturday afternoon, in a game which could prove crucial. Plymouth Argyle, Bradford City and Forest Green Rovers, meanwhile, all have home games to navigate.
At the bottom, Morecambe's home form has certainly improved of late, and they'll be looking to back up a midweek win over Port Vale with victory at Northampton Town. In and around them are both Macclesfield Town and Stevenage, who are also on the road, at Colchester United and Cambridge United respectively.
