Sky Bet League Two: Manager of the Month January nominations

4 February 2020

The January nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month Award are:

David Artell (Crewe Alexandra)

While other sides have dipped in and out of the automatic promotion picture, Artell’s Crewe team have demonstrated a consistency to complement their flowing football with 11 points from six January fixtures.

Keith Curle (Northampton Town)

Give him time and autonomy and he will deliver a side capable of challenging for promotion. The Curle formula is a simple one, but highly effective as a haul of 13 points from a possible 15 proves, built on a 11-3 goal differential.

Michael Flynn (Newport County)

He didn’t panic during the most barren run of his managerial career to date. His reward for patience as injuries healed was 10 points from five games, the comparative luxury of seven goals and a climb back towards the play-off places.

Ryan Lowe (Plymouth Argyle)

With the new main stand now open and Home Park packed once more, Lowe has timed his side’s rise towards the top three to perfection. Playing football to match his ambition, they collected 13 points and scored 14 goals in six games.
