The Leasing.com Trophy Player of the Round competition gives fans the opportunity to vote for the player they feel starred in each round of the competition. The nominations for the Player of the Round for the Quarter-Finals are as follows:
Scott Bennet (Newport County)
What a time to score your first goal of the season. Newport’s midfield lynchpin dominated Leicester’s youngsters with his experience, firm tackling and passing ability as he bestrode the middle of the park as well as lashing home the only goal of the game following a corner.
Cameron Burgess (Salford City)
Defensively sound as always and willing to throw his body in to make a crucial block, the centre-back drove his teammates on to a comeback win over Accrington. He led by example, too, rising highest to head home an Ibou Toure free-kick for the vital equaliser in first half injury-time.
Matt Jay (Exeter City)
A goal with either foot and some neat play in the build-up to Exeter’s opener, it’s fair to say that Jay put his stamp all over the 3-0 win against Stevenage. Making the most of sporadic playing time, the 23-year-old was involved throughout, cleverly drifting into space to link up play.
Cameron McGeehan (Portsmouth)
Adjusting to life on the south coast, this was the game in which the on-loan McGeehan announced himself as a Pompey player. Prompting and probing behind John Marquis, he secured Portsmouth’s passage into the semi-finals with a fine finish on the run for the winning goal.

An independent football expert selects five worthy players that make up the shortlist for each round and supporters have the chance to vote for the final two.
The two players with the most votes will then be considered by a judging panel consisting of representatives from the EFL, before the overall winner is revealed.
By entering, supporters can win signed merchandise from an EFL League One or League Two club of their choice.
