The September nominations for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award are:
Jonson Clarke-Harris (Bristol Rovers) - striker
It was not just his five goals in five games, including a spectacular overhead kick against Accrington, which stood out, but the fact that every one of his efforts was either an equaliser or the goal which gave Rovers a lead.
Mo Eisa (Peterborough United) - striker
A member of the Posh Three, he outshone even Marcus Maddison and Ivan Toney with the quality of his four goals in four games. Willing to take on defenders in the area, his dancing feet served up a memorable strike against Wimbledon.
James Henry (Oxford United) – midfielder
Whether it be two coolly-taken penalties against Tranmere, a superb volley at Lincoln or, in turn, a clipped finish, floated assist and guided header against Gillingham, the veteran midfielder was at the heart of Oxford’s goal-crazy September.
Kane Vincent-Young (Ipswich Town) – wing-back
The 23-year-old formed part of an Ipswich defensive shield which conceded just a solitary goal in four games. He also galloped forward to head the winner at Gillingham and scored against Tranmere with a superb jinking run and shot.
