The September nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award are:
Slaven Bilic (West Bromwich Albion)
To carry your side’s unbeaten start to the season through September is especially impressive considering that Bilic’s men were behind against Fulham and Huddersfield. Seven points from three games took them top of the table.
Sabri Lamouchi (Nottingham Forest)
Has made Forest hard to beat. Two more clean sheets set the foundations for 1-0 wins over Swansea and Barnsley, while the resilience he has instilled was shown in the 3-2 win at Stoke, adding up to a perfect nine points from nine.
Garry Monk (Sheffield Wednesday)
Not every fan’s choice as Owls manager, Monk began his quest to win over the Hillsborough faithful by leading his new team to seven points from three games. Especially sweet was the 4-1 win at former club Middlesbrough.
Alex Neil (Preston North End)
Has put together a side which collected seven points from three games in different ways. Wins over Brentford and Birmingham were built on clinical finishing, while North End came from 2-0 and 3-2 down to draw with Bristol City.
