The October nominations for theSky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award are as follows:
Eoin Doyle (Swindon Town) - striker
It made no difference to Doyle that he was unable to play against parent club Bradford. The four appearances he did make brought six goals, including a hat-trick at Crawley. The Irishman showcased all his talents - tight control, deft finishes, clever movement and calmness.
Otis Khan (Mansfield Town) - winger
Mansfield’s 12 goals in October were spread around, but there was one constant throughout the month – Khan’s dynamic play from the left wing, taking defenders on at will. Set up goals against Oldham, Forest Green and Walsall.
Ben Tozer (Cheltenham Town) – central defender
The lynchpin of a Cheltenham back three which held the opposition to two goals in three games. Reads the game superbly and has the pace to cope with one-on-one situations. For good measure, he added a goal against Walsall.
Kevin van Veen (Scunthorpe United) - striker
A prodigious work-rate has not always been the Dutchman’s speciality. Yet, allying effort and commitment to his natural talent – evident in his goals against Northampton and Salford – van Veen contributed mightily to Scunthorpe’s revival.
