AFC Wimbledon striker Marcus Forss has been awarded the EFL’s Young Player of the Month award for October.
The Finland U21 star, who is on-loan at the Dons from Brentford, scored four goals in the month, including his first professional hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Southend United.
He also managed to go on a sensational run of seven goals in his first seven matches for AFC Wimbledon.
"It feels very good," said Forss after receiving the award.
He added: "I've been working very hard and the team have been working hard as well and this award shows you that the team has been doing very well as well.
"Apart from getting a red card this loan move has gone fantastically for me. The hat-trick was probably my career highlight so far.
"I got called up for Finland as well, but I had a conversation with the manager and I decided to stay here and help the team out.
"The decision clearly paid off and we got a massive three points at the time."
