Carabao Cup Round One draw confirmed

20 June 2019

The draw for Round One of the Carabao Cup has been confirmed with 35 ties selected this evening from Morrisons, Colindale.

Hosted by Sam Matterface, fans were able to watch the draw live from the London store, as John Barnes and Ray Parlour conducted the draw, which was shown live across the Carabao Cup Facebook and Twitter channels.

The 2018/19 Carabao Cup competition culminated in the showpiece final held at Wembley Stadium in February with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City being crowned winners for a second consecutive season.

70 EFL Clubs will feature in Round One of the competition which saw teams drawn in Northern and Southern sections, as in the 2018/19 season.

With some exciting ties to come in Round One, Salford City will welcome Leeds United to the Peninsula Stadium in their first season in the EFL.

In the southern draw, last season's Play-Off Semi-Finalists West Bromwich Albion will play Millwall at the Hawthorns, QPR face Bristol City while AFC Wimbledon will play MK Dons.

The Round One draw is regionalised to minimise travelling time for supporters.
