Spotlight on: Lloyd Kelly

6 February 2019

As part of Youth Development Week, we're putting the spotlight on young English players who have enjoyed a breakthrough year in the EFL.

Bristol City's Lloyd Kelly has burst onto the Sky Bet Championship scene in the last 12 months, reportedly attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Having come through the Robins' ranks, Kelly made his senior debut in a 5-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle in the Carabao Cup in August 2017, and has since cemented a place in the first team.

A full-back by trade, some have tipped the 20-year-old to develop into a central defensive role, thanks in part to his physical stature and standout ability to read the game.

Bristol-born Kelly has played a key role, with City going under the radar in their Play-Off push, and already has experience on the international stage, having played for England's Under-21 side.
