Spotlight on: Callum Brittain

7 February 2019

As part of Youth Development Week, we're putting the spotlight on young English players who have enjoyed a breakthrough year in the EFL.

Named EFL Young Player of the Month in September 2017, MK Dons' Callum Brittain has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Born in Bedford, just 15 miles away from the club's training ground, the 20-year-old has risen through the ranks at Stadium MK and has played a key role in helping his side's defence become one of the best in Sky Bet League Two.

A versatile player, Brittain has played at full-back, wing-back and even in midfield on occasion, becoming a favourite among fans, who voted him Supporters’ Young Player of the Year back in May.

Brittain has represented England at Under-20 level, and will hope to continue his rise to prominence, having signed a new deal with MK Dons last year.
