The January nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are as follows:
Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa) – striker
The goals keep coming for Abraham, mainly due to his innate positional sense. Whether sprinting ahead of his marker to turn in a cross or stabbing home a rebound, he is invaluable to Villa, scoring five of their six January goals.
Adam Armstrong (Blackburn Rovers) – attacking midfielder
Two goals, four assists and a penalty won made it quite a month for Armstrong for whom the wide role behind Danny Graham seems a perfect fit. Able to use his pace at will, his vision to pick out a pass which has been equally impressive.
Kamil Grosicki (Hull City) - winger
The Poland international has remained committed to the Tigers cause in spite of relegation last season and a tough start to this. He managed two goals and three assists as opposing defenders struggled to contain him.
Oli McBurnie (Swansea City) - striker
Loved in Swansea for his wholehearted commitment, the 22-year-old played all across the front-line in December to prove his versatility. The one constant was goals - five of them in three games, two of which were headers.
Winners will be announced on Friday 8 February.
