Following the completion of the Group Stages of the Trophy, Exeter City topped the group after winning all three of their matches, including a 3-1 victory at home to West Ham United U21s in the final group stage fixture.

Recalled from a successful loan spell with Weston-super-Mare, 20-year-old striker Joel Randall made his first appearance of the season for the Grecians in the competition, and he took his chance, netting twice to help take Exeter City through to the round of 32.

Speaking on Exeter’s ambitions for the tournament, Joel said: “We’re fourth in Sky Bet League Two at the moment and this is another first team game that we want to win and have another poisitive dressing room. In football, if you’ve got momentum and you’re winning games there is nothing better."

On the importance of the Trophy for his own development, Joel added: “I’ve been enjoying my football and I took that confidence from being on loan into the first team here at Exeter and managed to get on the scoresheet.

Matt Taylor's side welcome Oxford United to St James Park tonight in Round Two, who have reached the final of the competition twice before. Karl Robinson's side are coming into the fixture in good form having not lost since 7 September.

"In the Trophy you are playing against strong opposition," Randall continued. "Oxford United are a league above us so it will be a good test for me personally to play against League One players and see where I am at.” is the largest dedicated marketplace in the UK for new car contract hire and leasing offers.
