Despite being down a division, EFL Matchday 7 was packed with action, and we've pulled together 11 players and a manager for the latest Team of the Week:
Alex Cairns — Sunderland 1-1 Fleetwood Town
That save. Alex Cairns' late heroics proved the key in ensuring that Fleetwood Town left the Stadium of Light with a point.
Lewis Page — Charlton Athletic 3-2 Wycombe Wanderers
Page was a constant threat on Charlton's left flank, and also did his fair share of defensive duties. His dangerous cross forced Sido Jombati to turn into his own net in the first half.
Sid Nelson — Morecambe 0-1 Swindon Town
The Millwall loanee was exceptional at the heart of Swindon's backline in their victory over Morecambe, and fully merits his inclusion in this week's EFL select XI.
Pierce Sweeney — Exeter City 5-1 Notts County
Two goals and an assist isn't bad. His first goal came from the penalty spot, and despite missing another penalty he still completed his brace as well as providing the cross for Aaron Martin's late goal.
Jay Spearing — Blackpool 3-2 Bradford City
Jay Spearing was at the heart of the Blackpool fightback against Bradford City on Saturday. He'd never scored for them before the weekend, and ended up netting two of three goals that saw the Seasiders pick up all three points.
Filipe Morais — Lincoln City 0-1 Crawley Town
Morais has been chipping in with the management of Crawley since Harry Kewell's departure, and with some effect this weekend. New manager Gabriele Cioffi watched from the stands as Morais' goal helped Crawley Town to an away win over league-leading Lincoln.
Tyreeq Bakinson — Oldham Athletic 0-1 Newport County
Tyreeq Bakinson was the heartbeat of Newport County's impressive performance, and scored the winning goal away at Oldham Athletic. The on-loan midfielder took his chance brilliantly after being teed up by Matty Dolan.
Danny Mayor — Bury 4-0 Grimsby Town
Goal of the Week and Team of the Week. It wasn't a bad weekend for Bury's Danny Mayor. Mayor netted a brace in the 4-0 win, the first time Bury have gone back-to-back this season.
Matty Blair — Doncaster Rovers 2-1 Luton Town
Started with a bang. Matty Blair netted on six minutes against the Hatters to set the tone for an impressive performance that helped Donny to a 2-1 victory.
Jamie Devitt — Cambridge United 1-2 Carlisle United
Two pinpoint assists from Jamie Devitt provided the goals in Carlisle's away win at Cambridge United. The Cumbrians came from a goal down to win 2-1.
Matt Godden — Southend United 2-3 Peterborough United
Three points on Saturday meant that it is now Peterborough United's best ever start to a season. A lot of that is down to the prowess they're showing in front of goal. Matt Godden is one of those in-form strikers, and he grabbed another two on Saturday to take his tally to six for the season.
Matt Taylor — Exeter City 5-1 Notts County
Exeter went into Saturday's clash with the Magpies off the back of two consecutive defeats, meaning Matt Taylor's honeymoon period was very much over. However, his Grecians were emphatic in their victory over the struggling County side, and won 5-1.
