The nominees for September Sky Bet Goal of the Month - find out who is in the running for each division...
Alan Browne – PRESTON NORTH END v Bolton Wanderers – 1st September
With his back to goal, a defender pressing into him and a bouncing ball coming his way, Browne’s instincts took over. The result? A perfectly hooked finish over his right shoulder.
John McGinn – ASTON VILLA v Sheffield Wednesday – 22nd September
The kind of exquisite thigh-high volley most of us can only dream about. Taking the dropping ball early was McGinn’s only option. The contact and trajectory were perfection.
Adam Reach – SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v Leeds United – 28th September
Not him again. Reach excelled himself with this audacious effort. The ball was bouncing innocuously until a swish of his left foot had it dipping outrageously in off the far post.

Chris Maguire – Burton Albion v SUNDERLAND – 15th September
Allowing a player to shoot from 25 yards is usually fine if you can see it coming, yet such was the purity of Maguire’s strike that Burton keeper Dimitar Evtimov couldn’t get near it.
Ivan Toney – Gillingham v PETERBOROUGH UNITED – 22nd September
A fine team goal was given the finish it deserved. As a succession of passes swept the ball towards Toney, he opened up his stance to arc the ball beautifully into the far corner.
Aaron Wilbraham – ROCHDALE v Portsmouth – 29th September
He may be 38 now and on to his 11th club, yet Wilbraham cannot have caught many volleys as cleanly as this stunning dipper after teeing the ball up perfectly on his instep.

Liam Mandeville – Bury v MORECAMBE – 1st September
Vision becomes reality. Collecting the ball on the angle of the penalty area, Mandeville knew exactly what to do next - clip an inch-perfect driven lob into the far top corner.
Danny Mayor – BURY v Grimsby Town – 8th September
Left unmarked on the halfway line, Mayor turned in possession, drove two Grimsby defenders back before checking back inside to whip home an unstoppable 20-yarder.
Ben Kennedy – Carlisle United v STEVENAGE – 29th September
It is 272 miles from Carlisle to Stevenage. Plenty of time, then, for Kennedy to re-run this peach of a left-foot curler for the winning goal through his mind on the long journey home.
