The season is gathering pace now we're 10 games in and we've picked out a couple of games involving the chasing pack to keep an eye on this week...
Matchday 11 is split over two days in the Sky Bet Championship with Swansea City's visit to Wigan Athletic one to keep your eye on on Tuesday night.
The pair are knocking on the door of the top six, kept out only by goal difference and two of four teams on 16 points, with a further five teams beneath them and one point off their pace.
The Swans 16 points have been achieved with four wins and four draws while hosts Wigan have five victories to their name, but only a solitary draw so far.
At the weekend Queens Park Rangers were defeated by three goals without reply at the Liberty Stadium as Wigan suffered a narrow defeat away to Norwich after back-to-back wins over Bristol City and Hull City. That defeat allowed Norwich to climb above them into fifth spot, but Paul Cook's side could be back in the top five, for at least 24 hours, with a win over the Swans this evening.
Sitting in ninth, also with 16 points and an almost identical record to Wigan – they've scored and conceded one goal fewer – are Derby County. They host Daniel Farke's Norwich on Wednesday night knowing what will be required of them to move into a top-six position.
Like Wigan, they also lost 1-0 at the weekend and will be facing a tough task to avoid a repeat against a Norwich side that were undefeated throughout September, and who have won their last five in a row in all competitions.
