The April nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month Award are:
Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough)
A towering presence in a defence which conceded just five goals in six difficult-looking games, the Spaniard displayed his dominance in the air at both ends of the pitch, scoring three goals and providing an assist, all at corners.
Lewis Grabban (Aston Villa)
Nominated in October when on loan at Sunderland, the 30-year-old used his strength and know-how to bully defenders, help himself to four goals in five games and create space for teammates as Villa secured a play-off berth.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)
A second successive nomination for March’s winner. Scored in five of his six games, including the winners against Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland. As well as his all-round contribution, his passion for the club as a loan player is striking.
Harry Wilson (Hull City)
The star of an attack which scored 16 goals in April, Wilson managed four goals and two assists in his five appearances with his ability to drive past defenders at will and cut in from both wings to cause havoc in the area with a fearless abandon.
The winner will be announced on Friday 4th May
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
