The April nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award are:
Alex Revell (Stevenage)
A remarkable final month of the season for the 34-year-old who scored six goals in as many games, culminating in his first hat-trick for 10 years in the win over Exeter.
Mitch Rose (Grimsby Town)
Assured in midfield, he converted penalties under suffocating pressure in three successive games to earn his side seven points. Not any old penalties either. Two came in the final 10 minutes against relegation rivals Chesterfield and Barnet.
Jayden Stockley (Exeter City)
Stockley’s importance to Exeter’s promotion push can be gauged by him scoring his side’s opening goal in four successive matches. Formidable in the air and deceptively skilful on the ground, his final tally was five in six games.
Dan Sweeney (Barnet)
Made captain by new manager Martin Allen in late March, the 24-year-old’s influence belies his status as a non-league player until January. The stability he has brought with his tackling and covering ability has been key to Barnet’s revival.
The winner will be announced on Friday 4th May.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
