The April nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:
Neal Ardley (AFC Wimbledon)
April began with his side above the relegation places only on goal difference. He instilled the belief to collect nine points from five unbeaten games, which included fixtures against promotion-chasing Charlton, Scunthorpe and Wigan.
Paul Cook (Wigan Athletic)
A busy April schedule of eight games couldn’t halt his side’s charge to promotion. Fifteen points were gained and 17 goals scored along the way as Wigan stayed true to his principles and passed their way into the Championship.
Nick Daws (Scunthorpe United)
Scunthorpe appeared to be in freefall in March, but caretaker manager Daws has restored players to their natural positions and with it their confidence. The result was 10 points and three clean sheets from four unbeaten games.
Tony Mowbray (Blackburn Rovers)
A unifying presence at Ewood Park this season, his astute tactics, man-management and calmness saw Rovers clinch immediate promotion back to the Championship. Seven games yielded 14 points and celebrations all round.
The winner will be announced on Friday 4th May.
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
