There was a healthy selection of midweek EFL fixtures. Here's how the action unfolded...
At Molineux, league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers got back to winning ways, thanks to a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Reading. A Matt Doherty brace and a goal from Benik Afobe sealed the points.
Cardiff City also scored three, with Neil Warnock's men prevailing 3-1 at Brentford, after initially going behind in the first-half.
Aston Villa lost ground on the top two though, as Queens Park Rangers turned in a terrific display to run out 3-1 victors at Villa Park.
Keeping with the theme of three goals, that takes us to Portman Road, where another away success was achieved. Nigel Adkins watched his Hull City side win 3-0, with Markus Henriksen, Harry Wilson and Jarrod Bowen all getting on the scoresheet.
Goals either side of the break from Enda Stevens and David Brooks were enough for Sheffield United to comfortably see off Burton Albion at Bramall Lane.
Elsewhere, the points were shared between Barnsley and Norwich City, who drew 1-1 at Oakwell.
A late Jack Marriott strike saw Peterborough United clinch a 1-0 victory away at Bury, to subsequently climb to sixth in the standings.
Dan Micciche picked up his first win as Milton Keynes Dons boss, with his side getting the better of Rotherham United in a 3-2 success.
It looked as though Blackpool and Charlton Athletic were about to play out a goalless draw, but Jimmy Ryan netted in the closing stages to give the hosts a narrow triumph.
The points were shared at the Crown Oil Arena, as Rochdale and Southend United drew 0-0 in a match which both teams had opportunities to win.
Twenty-four hours later, Michael Jacobs struck in stoppage time to hand Wigan Athletic three points away at Bradford City – a goal which saw them return to League One's automatic promotion place.
